What do you enjoy about your job? What aspects of your job are the most exciting or interesting?

Its cross-sectoriality and to a certain degree unpredictability and its importance for my country are what that I appreciate most about my job. It allows me to be constantly on the top of social development of Azerbaijan while keeping abreast of practical work across the globe. Planning, setting standards and monitoring is a very interesting, but challenging task.

Why did you choose to pursue an MPA/MPP degree?
MA degree would ensure that I get the necessary academic knowledge to contribute utmost to the development of my country. In fact it also played a great role in broadening my world-vision and becoming a member of a professional network.

How did you select your graduate school?
The selection was made by the selection committee of E.Muskie Graduate Scholarship programme based on certain criteria. But I should note that I ended up taking classes at three universities thanks to this selection.

How do you feel your MPA/MPP is helping you to make a difference?
It certainly does and sometimes it just happens so implicitly that one cannot realize. However, work in practice is completely another world.
