Chief Accreditation Officer Transition
Heather Hamilton left NASPAA’s Chief Accreditation Officer role on May 8 to join the staff at the School of Public Affairs at American University. Upon Ms. Hamilton’s departure, Martha Bohrt, Director of Accreditation and Strategic Projects, stepped in the role of Acting Chief Accreditation Officer. For the past two years, Ms. Bohrt has managed NASPAA accreditation operations for over 200 graduate programs worldwide. A graduate of the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Bohrt worked with local, state and federal agencies to advance transnational environmental initiatives prior to joining NASPAA. Ms. Bohrt stated, “I am very excited to take on the role of Acting CAO. NASPAA is in a unique position to support the development of the public service education field. I look forward to supporting NASPAA’s two-fold mission, particularly in this time of adjustment and innovation in the field.”
