Shaping a Global Future for Public Affairs explores the evolving role of public affairs academic programs in preparing leaders in public policy, public administration, and nonprofit sectors to tackle complex, interconnected global challenges. It highlights the need for innovative curricula, cross-cultural learning, and the integration of global perspectives into public policy education and, subsequently, the practice of public policy and administration. This conference will provide a forum for discussions on best practices for shaping curricula that address emerging issues such as climate change, social justice, technology, and governance. Participants will also explore the role of education in bridging the gaps between local and global public affairs, ensuring that future leaders are equipped with the skills to navigate an increasingly complex and dynamic world. The conference will also feature tracks focused on public policy and public administration research. Research in these fields can contribute significantly by providing evidence-based solutions to complex governance challenges, including the management of public services, fiscal governance, and institutional reforms.
