#NASPAA2022 Conference Theme and Co-Chairs Announced  

The Time is Now: A Bold and Noble Public Service for All

We are pleased to announce that NASPAA President, Susan Gooden, has named the 2022 NASPAA Annual Conference Chairs. Dr. Brandi Blessett, Associate Professor, MPA Program Director, Masters of Public Administration Social Justice (MPA SJ) Program at the University of Cincinnati and Dr. Sean McCandless, Assistant Professor and DPA Associate Director, School of Public Management and Policy at the University of Illinois Springfield will co-chair the conference. "The conference theme for this year—The Time is Now: A Bold and Noble Public Service for All—has never been more timely," Dr. McCandless and Dr. Blessett stated. "The world faces both new and continuing crises and it is imperative for public administration to be at the forefront with helping develop diverse, equitable, inclusive, just, active and bold ways forward. We look forward to rigorous discussions of how pedagogy, classroom and program management and more can help position the field to address these critical issues." NASPAA looks forward to working with the co-chairs to plan a meaningful and engaging 2022 conference.
