Online Proceedings of the 2018 Global Summit: Supporting Diversity in Graduate Education

"In November of 2018, CGS and the University of Johannesburg cohosted the 2018 Strategic Leaders Global Summit on Graduate Education in Johannesburg, South Africa, with support from ETS. Senior graduate leaders representing 17 different countries across six continents met to discuss the theme Supporting Diversity in Graduate Education. Conference attendees contemplated current efforts in the international graduate education community to promote diversity, including assessment in the admissions process, relevant curriculum, peer and faculty-mentoring, orientation programs, language support, and student associations. In addition, participants considered how individually and collectively we can improve upon these efforts for the benefit of students, universities, and broader communities.
